The Digital Photography SIG has combined the Digital/Camera and Graphics/Software SIG's and will help you understand the terms involved in digital cameras, suggest what to look for in cameras, and offer tips and suggestions for things to do before and after your take your picture. It will offer ideas concerning easy ways to view your images for modification, organize them, and use them for special use purposes. This SIG will help you with technical problems you may have relating to this exploding field of interest.
Participants are given an introduction to image editing software and associated equipment. Photo editing and restoration, artwork, image enhancement, and conversion of photos to graphic designs are major categories of discussion. Choice and use of related peripheral devices are also covered. Participants with graphics problems are encouraged to bring a copy of their document(s) on a diskette, CD or Thumb Drive.
The SIG leader has established http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Dphotofriends/ on Yahoo Groups for questions and answers between regular SIG meetings.
